Discipline: R&DEurecat is the second Research & Technology Organisation in Spain and one of the largest applied research and technology transfer organisation in Southern
Europe. It brings together the experience of more than 800 professionals who generate an annual turnover of 69 million euros and provides services to more than 2,000 companies. Eurecat integrates advanced digital capabilities and experience in biotechnology, industry and sustainability and collaborates with industry in R+D+I activities and projects, offering advanced scientific and technological services and specialized knowledge to respond effectively to the technological needs of very different business sectors, accelerating innovation, reducing both risks and spendings on scientific and technological infrastructures. The technology center participates in more than 200 large national and international consortium projects of high strategic R&I, has 230 patents and 10 spin-offs. Eurecat has eleven centers in Catalonia and presence in Madrid, Malaga and Chile.
The Industrial Robotics and Mechatronics group of Eurecat Technology Center (Barcelona) is looking for highly motivated researchers to work in the area of industrial robots, applying artificial intelligence techniques and/or computer vision for human-robot interaction and mobile manipulators, in the framework of several European and national research projects.
Eurecat Technology Centre is specialized in research and development on Mobile and Industrial Robotics and Automation. For over 5 years, the Industrial Robotics and Mechatronics has been involved in the development of technology to bring the most innovative robotics solutions to an industrial and construction environment. The Industrial Robotics and Mechatronics group has been involved in the development and implementation of solutions in the field of collaborative robots, human-robot interaction, intuitive programming and mobile manipulators. As a Technology Centre, we do applied R&D to enhance the capabilities and reliability of these new technologies, improving the current methods and enabling new applications.
Our current project activities focus on the following technical challenges:
* Workspace perception for Human-Robot Interaction and Collision Avoidance
* Human Action model and prediction through IA techniques
* Mobile manipulation in industrial environment (perception, manipulation, grasp planning, navigation, localization…)
We are looking for highly-skilled roboticists (see profiles bellow) to complete our robotics team. The candidates shall work on national and European research projects dealing with robotic systems.
We are a small team developing innovative robotic solutions for manipulation in industrial and construction environments. The main responsibilities of the candidate include the research and develop innovative, robust and reliable robotic solutions to novel applications for challenging manipulation problems and implement, evaluate and extend published algorithms for sensing and control of robotic systems.
