Eurecat is the second Research & Technology Organisation in Spain and one of the largest applied research and technology transfer organisation in Southern
Europe. It brings together the experience of more than 800 professionals who generate an annual turnover of 69 million euros and provides services to more than 2,000 companies. Eurecat integrates advanced digital capabilities and experience in biotechnology, industry and sustainability and collaborates with industry in R+D+I activities and projects, offering advanced scientific and technological services and specialized knowledge to respond effectively to the technological needs of very different business sectors, accelerating innovation, reducing both risks and spendings on scientific and technological infrastructures. The technology center participates in more than 200 large national and international consortium projects of high strategic R&I, has 230 patents and 10 spin-offs. Eurecat has eleven centers in Catalonia and presence in Madrid, Malaga and Chile.
"VICENTE LÓPEZ" PROGRAMME
FOR THE HIRING OF TRAINEE RESEARCHERS
The Eurecat Foundation is a technology centre that needs to engage in research in order to fulfill its mission. To carry out this research, the Foundation encourages collaboration with universities and research centres and promotes the training of research staff through the production of doctoral theses.
This programme is named after Dr. Vicente López Martínez in honour of his contribution to innovation in Catalonia and his tireless work to promote links between universities, technology centres and companies. Vicente López was not only the founder of the Barcelona Media technology centre, which today forms part of Eurecat; he was also an outstanding researcher, manager and entrepreneur.
List of contracts:
For the 2019-2020 programme, 19 pre-doctoral contracts will be offered. These contracts are listed in the annex attached to these rules.

For the 2019-2020, the application period is from the 15th of April to the 16th June 2019 (both dates inclusive).
Selection Process:
The selection process will take place between 17th June and 7th July 2019.

APPLICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
Applications may be submitted by anyone who is qualified and able to begin an official doctoral programme in accordance with the regulations in force. Consequently, applicants must possess an official university undergraduate degree and Master’s degree (whether issued by a Spanish university or another institution within the European Higher Education Area). They must also have completed a minimum of 300 ECTS credits as part of their official university studies, of which at least 60 must have been at Master’s degree level.
LOCATION
Applicants must reside in Catalonia throughout the duration of the program, in order to allow their participation in person, except for collaborative stays in other universities or research centers to prepare their own thesis.
Students will develop their collaboration at Eurecat Headquarters where the Technology Unit responsible for the project is located (Barcelona, Cerdanyola, Girona, Mataró, Lleida, Manresa, Reus, Vila-seca, Amposta and Tarragona).
